The Oxygenetix Gift Lounge

Deciding which gift to donate wasn’t an easy task, as the Gift Lounge, sponsored by Oxygenetix, featured many unique and special products and gift packages.

In addition to sponsoring the gift lounge, cosmeceutical designer and creator of Oxygenetix, Barry Knapp, was on hand to provide celebrities with his new, innovative oxygen-infused makeup and moisturizer. Oxygenetix Breathable Foundation covers, heals, minimizes and even eliminates procedural scars. It has been medically proven, that the use of oxygen heals many conditions; the product was designed by doctors and treats a wide variety of skin problems, including skin injuries, wounds and rashes. The foundation also is effective with skin conditions like acne scars, rosacea and dry skin.

Our Editor-in-Chief, Jane Emery, states “I love this product for its natural look, flawless coverage, application and the science behind it.”

Patients enjoy the foundation’s ability to quickly fade post-surgical scars, almost completely erasing them so that no one will have to know about the work you have had done. The oxygen complex in this foundation, ceravitae, reduces those collagen cell and connective tissue growths that come along with aging or wounded skin.

Karen W Brooks

Karen W Brooks
New York, NY, United States

I’ve always been up for trying out new eyeliners, lip glosses and skincare products but foundations are another story. I guess there’s just something about covering my pores with makeup that always made me a bit uneasy–until I discovered Barry Knapp, developer of the new Oxygenating Breathable Foundation. His passion? Studying the science of oxegenology and its ability to heal and affect each individual genetically. After working with plastic surgeons on products that would provide coverage and help heal, minimize and eliminate procedural scars, Knapp created the air-permeable foundation. The secret ingredient: Ceravitae Complex, a patent-pending formula proven to increase oxygen uptake, stimulate skin cell production and speed the healing process. And the fact that it’s water-resistant for up to 90 minutes, contains SPF 25 and comes in seven blendable, color-corrective shades makes it just as appealing to those of us who haven’t undergone procedures as well. Definitely worth a try, right? I smooth some on and watch it effortlessly disappear into my skin. As the official makeup director of the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, Knapp recommends three ways to use it. “Apply it with your fingers to get into all the little grooves, use a sponge if you want to detail it out or try a washable, acrylic brush.” He suggests applying in downward strokes, keeping in the direction of hair growth, and insists on continuing past the jawline, covering the face and neck. The best part: It won’t come off until you take it off! For more info, check out Breathe

Why I love this product:

Abby Fender

I am Abby Fender and I have just started my blog as a way to let you all in on some of the best hidden secrets and newest sources from all over the country.

Why I love this product: This product is so exclusive it was given to celebs at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in every “swag bag,” not that means anything, but it happens to be a great product! It is a foundation that not only provides weightless coverage, and I mean weightless, but it also acts as a cure-all to acne, fine lines, and wrinkles. Cutting-edge technology using oxygen of all things, heals your skin and restores it to its original condition while you wear it. It really is the “fountain of youth.” Unfortunately, as of right now, it is only available through a select few websites and your dermatologist. I recommend getting the product through your dermatologist if possible, because he or she will be sure to match the foundation to your exact skin tone. Here is the best part of this product, it is a big ol’ bottle! Also, it has SPF 25, and whether or not you believe in Global Warming, your skin is exposed to harmful rays everyday and those days add up turning into years, and you get my point. This is when you wake up one day and realize when looking in the mirror, “Man! Since when did I look this old? I am only 26!” Been there done that.

Oxygenetix will be doing their part by sponsoring the Oxygenetix Gift Lounge for this annual holiday special which attracts some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry and raises awareness for foster care.

The Show: “A Home for the Holidays” is an annual holiday special that looks at the joys, rewards and success stories of adoption, one of the nation’s most pressing and underreported social crises. In fact, there are more than 500,000 children currently in foster care in the United States, and this program aims to raise awareness about this important social issue through inspirational stories about adoption. The special is presented in association with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the Children’s Action Network (CAN). CAN was founded in 1990 by leaders in the entertainment industry, including Henry Winkler and Steven Spielberg, to harness the power of the media on behalf of children. The special is part of CAN’s National Adoption Campaign to raise awareness of the joys of adopting and to find homes for the children who are waiting.

Miss Malibu looking beautiful with Oxygenetix

Miss Malibu 2010 Bianca Peters, looking beautiful all day long with Oxygenetix breathable foundation.

After a long day making sure all of the contestants and celebrity judges looked their best with Oxygenetix breathable foundation, founder, formulator, and celebrity makeup artist Barry Knapp takes a moment to congratulate Miss Bianca Peters, this years winner, and newly crowned Miss Malibu 2010.

Some of the comments we heard were, “Even in this hot sun my makeup does not run, feels cool, and has needed no touching up, amazing”.  Others while looking beautiful, said they felt like they we wearing no makeup at all. We received great feedback all day long at this spectacular event held in an estate once owned by singer Cher in an exclusive part of California on a bluff overlooking the expansive Pacific Ocean.

In the end we were all very happy with the event and the fabulous positive feedback. We are looking forward to next year, and the 2011 Miss Malibu Pageant.

Oxygenetix amazing Breathable Foundation was worn by the contestants and celebrity judges and attendees at this years Miss Malibu Pageant held at Cher’s old Malibu Estate which featured the fine entertainment of Hip Hop King Ludacris at the pre-pageant day party raising donations and awareness for his foundation to benefit kids. We were very honored by the opportunity and the celebrity and contestant feedback was fantastic. During the warm Sunday afternoon on a bluff overlooking the Pacific in the sprawling backyard of this beautiful estate, contestants discovered their makeup stayed on, did not run, was unaffected by sweat and looked and felt wonderful all day from runway to post event photo sessions.

Sundance, Oxygenetix and Botox

August 19, 2009 - One Response

Dateline: Park City, UT Feb. 17, 2009 – Oxygenating Foundation was the official makeup at the Sundance Film Festival. Oxygenetix’ team of makeup artist and estheticians beautified the celebrity skin of The Creative Coalition, SAG executives, film critics and media along with undroppable A listers names. We also loved the presence of Dr. Teasley and his emergency “paparazzi” proofing botox supply for the desperate and highly visible. We look forward to other Oxygenetix doctors joining us for next year’s beauty retreat.
